wow...life got crazy upon return to Massachusetts!

this post may be a work in progress as we are expecting company today....
Richard and I met on the Alaska forum.
We met personally when he attended the BBQ last summer that I had at the lake in Nikiski, Alaska where we own land.
Was so much fun meeting people in person who I'd gotten to know thru a forum, personal emails and DM's!

well Richard moved from Anchorage to New York state so he is within like a
3.5 hour drive from us.
Last year sometime he wanted to purchase a wooden workbench but the
shipping to Alaska would cost more than the bench.
As we were planning on moving I offered to pick it up
I flew into MA and had one day off!...then hit the ground running,
it hasn't stopped since!
It was a week or so later that I grabbed one of my camera's
as the fruit orchard was gorgeous
I realized that I had photo's still on the card
from the last day in Alaska!

ooops.... Richard is here so I will finish later

Sunday now and Richard is headed back to NY sooo...

My last day in Alaska for this summer.....
My flight was not until 9 pm, Robert had arraigned for me to ride
into the airport with friends of his that I had just met the day before.
really nice guys and they wanted to go to the Moose' Tooth for beers
and pizza before their flight out too.

But I had a whole 1/2 a day to kill...an being Ms organized I was all
packed and ready....so I grabbed my camera gear and
headed back up to Talkeetna!
Which I am really glad I did as there were a couple new artisan venders
one in particular...an ivory carver who's fabulous work was sooo
reasonably prices I bought several pieces.
this is the road "Parks Highway" out of Wasilla to Talkeetna

The train was in at Talkeetna so there were lots of people walking about

driving back to Wasilla to Roberts I decided that
having driven by the Iditarod Trail Headquarters
many times that I really should stop in...
glad I did

sure do wish dear hubby had been with me for this adventure
was a wonderful trip this summer and can't wait to sell our house and move!
