Part 1: Magic Wings Conservatory and Gardens

Between Dan and I we shot over 300 photos and most were keepers!
I will do this in Parts as the Conservatory is spectacular
hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Dan had asked last Nov what I wanted for my birthday
that was easy...
Magic Wings Conservatory and Gardens!

Such a fabulous place! This man, the creator had a vision of creating a
butterfly
conservatory and garden
and I am glad he did.

this was my second trip here...
the first was taking our friends and their son from Sweden
several years ago.

people enter thru the gift shop into a room that has
information and several cages with Madagascar Hissing bugs,
lizards etc

Upon entering the huge glass tropical gardens the heat and humidity hit! we learned the first trip to wear light clothing, carry water and if you wear bright colored clothing the butterflies will land on you.

the tropical flowers are just beautiful and thousands upon thousands of butterfly's flitting around.
Little bird running around in the ground foliage. Colorful birds flying around,
if you look carefully you will find frogs and such in trees.

Posting blog issues....sorry

For several weeks now I have not been able to access my blog.
Could see others blogs but not able to leave a comment!
How frustrating as this has affected thousands!
the google help fix-it site is working on a fix but doesn't seem to know what the problems is..sooo one cannot fix something when they don't know what is causing the problem!

Anyway..I now am using IE instead of FireFox to post here!

We went right from burning woods, cold weather about a week ago to
hot humid, sticky weather!
No wonderful spring weather this year!!

The fruit orchard was in full bloom and according to the owner...
one of the most gorgeous blooming in years!
yes I got photo's!

The smell of all the flowers was intoxicating!
Had a wonderful time chasing around getting photo's of bee's landing
doing their work of cross pollenating the trees.

this is how we fill 5 gal pails of mulch...then you drive over to the blueberry orchard, carry the pails in by hand thru the muddy path.
Keep filling the buckets with the excess in the truck
lots of walking, carrying, and spreading of mulch as
it takes 2-3 5gal buckets to do one bush!
there are 3 acreas of blueberries and we will not be finshed for a very very long time yet! we only do one or 2 truck loads any given day as it is
back breaking work.

If anyone reaading this knows what this is...let us know please!
it appears to be purposely planted due to where it is

the apple orchard in bloom

there is only one apple tree with pink blossoms in the 1800 trees!

the best breaks during the day....
Fuzzy nose play time!!!
they love playing in the pond

The bee's zip around not spending much time on any one flower
hard to catch a shot of these guys doing their work
so a lot of shots this is what I got..
