- I fell in love with Alaska back in 1982 after driving up and spending 3 months camping/hiking. I wanted to sell everything and move then but hubby had just started a new job and we had just bought our house. 30yrs later, hubby's company closed and we now can go anywhere and do anything we want. so we bought land on the Kenai Peninsula a few years ago. Now the house is up for sale and we hope to be on our way finally to Alaska. whether Alaska will be our permanent year round home or our summer place we do not know yet. this is our story of life moving on towards Alaska
